When reading a poem, a person should NEVER a. Read it several times b. Read until the end of the line c. Read it aloud d. Read on until the punctuation stops

OpenStudy (tacotime):

b

OpenStudy (shikamaru11):

how B??? @tacotime ma'm can you elucidate it if you don't mind??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought it would be d because punctuation is everywhere in the poem

OpenStudy (tacotime):

a and c are definitely wrong. I remember in my English class last year the teacher told us that the lines were more of a formatting thing, its not the end of a thought like a period.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i knew that but how is b correct can you explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say D

OpenStudy (tacotime):

You shouldn't stop at a period? @VictoriaRose12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Shouldn't you also hesitate at the end of the line?

OpenStudy (shikamaru11):

ok nice one @tacotime but i would like to have views of @VictoriaRose12 too :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not a genius at poems, but it seems to me that if you didn't pause at the end of the line the whole poem would sound like one long sentence.

OpenStudy (shikamaru11):

@VictoriaRose12 sumptous words me too not a genuine english but just a learner :)
