OpenStudy (phi):

I can't read setuplightshot.exe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IS THAT BETTER @phi @Directrix

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this might help... https://mathway.com/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried that its wont let me put my problems in it for some reason

OpenStudy (phi):

it is the sum of four numbers. I would write down the 4 numbers and add them up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO -15

OpenStudy (phi):

when k=1 you get the first number (-1)^1 (k+11) that is -1 * 12 or -12 -12 is the first number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHH OK

OpenStudy (phi):

can you find the next number, when k=2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

UM IS IT 16 RIGHT

OpenStudy (phi):

when k=2 you get (-1)^2 * (2+11) can you simplify that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SORRY THIS IS MY FIRST TIME REALLY DOING THIS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO IT IS 11

OpenStudy (phi):

what is (-1)^2 ?

OpenStudy (phi):

(-1)^2 means -1 * -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHHH SORRY ABOUT THAT

OpenStudy (phi):

the second number is (-1)^2 * (2+11) -1*-1 is 1 (2+11) is 13 1*13 is 13 so the first two numbers are -12, 13 can you find the third number, when k=3 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 15

OpenStudy (phi):

it is (-1)^3 * (3+11)

OpenStudy (phi):

(-1)^3 is -1 times itself 3 times. it will be -1 (if you have an odd power (3 in this case) you will get -1. if you have an even power, it will be +1) (3+11) is 14 -1*14 = -14 the first 3 numbers are -12, 13, -14 now find the last number, when k=4

OpenStudy (phi):

when k is 4 you will get (-1)^4 * (4+11) = 1*15= 15 the four numbers are -12,13,-14,15 add them up to get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok makes since now god your such a life saver

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 2 when i added them together
