Explain why the Newton;s Laws are important to understand and why they are still studied.
(this is for my essay so i think i need a long one)

If it is for an essay, I'm not exactly going to write it for you. But you should know that Newton's laws comprise part of the foundations of physics.

The 3 Newton's Laws of Motion are as follows:

I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.
II. The relationship between an object's mass m, its acceleration a, and the applied force F is F = ma.
III. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Why do you think that these are important? How have these laws helped us in science? In concepts? In math? One of the most significant qualities of physics is being able to state relationships. That is actually all physics is. Relationships between other quantities, numbers, objects. The fact that he was able to conjure a relationship between mass and acceleration has become paramount to everyday physics.

If you research more about the three laws, you could write hundreds of pages of why it is significant and its applications to other fields of science. You could even google "Applications of Newton's Laws" and that's basically an essay on a silver platter :)
