We can solve this by using a method called elimination. You could use substitution too, but sometimes elimination makes life a bit simpler. Plus, students tend to lean away from elimination, but with practice it can be better the sub.
We can multiply the top equation by -5.

This gives us
-5x + 10y = -15
5x + 3y = 2

13y = -13
y = -1

Now plug that sucker back into any of those equations and solve for x :)
