Write the equation of a line with slope m = 0 and point (2, 3). y = 3 x = 3 y = 2 x = 2

@Hero @dan815 @clamin @hartnn @triciaal

OpenStudy (freckles):

hint: vertical lines are in the form x=b where this line goes through every point (b,y) for any y value (Vertical lines have undefined slopes) horizontal lines are in the form y=a where this lines goes through every point (x,a) for any x value (horizontal lines have the slope as 0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@freckles I'm still a little confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would this line be horizontal?

OpenStudy (freckles):

yes so you have y=a number just look your point... what is the y-coordinate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be y = 3?

OpenStudy (freckles):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!! (:

OpenStudy (freckles):

if it was undefined slope and point (2,3) then you would x=2

OpenStudy (freckles):

you would go with x-coordinate in that case

OpenStudy (freckles):

but yep horizontal (or slope 0) think y-coordinate and vertical (or undefined slope) think x-coordinate

OpenStudy (freckles):

but horizontals will be y=a number while verticals will be x= a number
