OpenStudy (anonymous):

19 to the third power multiplied by 19 to the 3rd power 19 to the 3 power 19^4 19^5 19^6

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

when we have the same base, add the exponents

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

our exponents are 3 and 3, so we add them together to get 6 so we get 19^6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the last one?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.5^5 +2.5^3 2.5^15 2.5^8 2.5^2 2.5^-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Vocaloid

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

since the numbers are being added together we can't use the same rule as before

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

so just convert them to standard form and then add

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

250000 + 2500 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

252,500

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Vocaloid

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

oh whoops, small mistake

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

actually, are you sure thats a plus sign in between them?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

because if we add 2.5^3 and 2.5^5 we get an answer that isn't one of the choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it's a plus sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just thought about something....what if i just added the exponents together??? it would give me 205^8 and that's one of the choices..... @Vocaloid

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

we can't add the exponents if it's a plus sign

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

we can only add the exponents if there's a multiplication sign between the two terms.

Vocaloid (vocaloid):
