OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

How do you find the domain of this function?

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

\[\ln(x^{3}-2x^{2}-9x+18)\]

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

Wait doesn't it have to be greater then zero because it's logarithm or something?

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

@campbell_st @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yes

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

oh ok so that way I get (-3, 2) U (3, infinity)

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

I looked for the critical points then used a sign chart to see where the sign changes.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

x3−2x2−9x+18 x^2(x−2)−9(x-2) = 0 x=2, -3 and 3 yes
