I guess you have to try each choice. Two of them should "work"
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
ok let me try them
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
um so i replace the x's and y's with the coordinates?
OpenStudy (phi):
I would replace the x with the first number in the ( x,y) pair
do the calculation, and see if the y I get matches the y in the answer

ok thank you um can you check my work then?
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
i think A is right
OpenStudy (phi):
Here is the first choice (-9,4)
\[ y = \frac{4}{-9}\cdot -9 \\ y= \frac{4}{\cancel{-9} }\cdot \cancel{-9} \\y=4\]
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
yeah so A is right but B is not
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
C is also wrong

yes. Notice if you multiply by 9 it cancels the 9 in the bottom, so I would check D next
(I would expect it to work)
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
so A and C are the answers :)
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
oh i mean A and D sorry
OpenStudy (phi):
yes, A and D are correct.
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
