hellooo @StudyTheWorld

OpenStudy (studytheworld):

I think we can scratch out A and C based on common logic. So it is either William the Conqueror's victory, or Richard the lionhearted on a crusade. Which do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's william the conqueror's victory

OpenStudy (studytheworld):

Actually, I need to correct myself. I was just looking at some sources on the Battle of Hastings and the Bayeux Tapestry... I believe your answer is actually going to be A, the arrival of the Anglo and Saxons. The Battle of Hastings was fought on 14 October 1066 between the Norman-French army of Duke William II of Normandy and an English army under the Anglo-Saxon King Harold Godwinson, beginning the Norman conquest of England. So we know it aws fought between the Anglo-Saxons if we are using A as our answer. And the section I just listed above says it was fought between those two sides... so that's one reason I think it's A. ALong with that, A says at the end "in england." So if we use A as our answer, we know the location of the battle is in England and the Battle of Hastings (as I think is shown in the tapestry, in case you didn't already pick that up) was fought in the location of Hastings, East Sussex, England. So, everything adds up if we are using the Battle of Hastings and the arrival of the Anglo Saxons as our defense. Hopefully you understand what I'm saying. But to conclude, I think your answer is A - the arrival of Angles and Saxons in England. :)
