A standard showerhead in Andrew's house dispenses 8 gallons of water per minute. Andrew changed this shower head to an energy-saving one. The equation shows the amount of water dispensed, y, as a function of the number of minutes, x, for the new shower head.
y = 3x
How much water does Andrew save each day with the change in shower heads if he uses the shower for 8 minutes each day?

I think it's B what do you think
jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
not quite ^_^
we have to compare the old amount to the new
so the old = 8 gallens per min * 8 minutes = 64
right?
OpenStudy (feemeegaming):
yeah
jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
then in the new equation
3 * 8 = 24
right?
OpenStudy (feemeegaming):
right,so it's 24
