please help solve using substitution x-4y=-5 12y=15+3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can solve the first equation for \(x\) via \[x=4y-5\] then substitute in to the second one and get \[12y=15+3(4y-5)\] and solve that for \(y\\)
