If someone can please help me out, I really need help. 1.) Thomas Paine, a key figure in the American Revolution, once said, "It is only error, and not truth, that shrinks from inquiry." What do you think he meant by this? 2.) Do you think any significant discoveries have been made from errors? Can you describe one? 3.) When doing an investigation, if you were to make a mistake what do you suppose you should do?

oops this is the wrong subject

Thomas Paine meant that the more you inquire about something, the less error and mistakes come from it, and more truth will. It means you can not make a problem worse by inquiring about it, you can only lessen the error within it.

Pretzels - were "discovered" when a monk in the middle ages shaped bread dough into "praying figures" - put them into the oven and forgot about them until they almost burnt.
