PLEASE HELP, I'll GIVE YOU A MEDAL!! the sum of a number times 3 and 26 is at least 27. I need help to translate this into an inequality

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Well what can you translate so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that the number is equal to or more then 27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats all i got so far im pretty bad with these

OpenStudy (constanceleak):

3n+26<27 i think

563blackghost (563blackghost):

The question says "the sum of a number times 3 and 26" which means 3 by n so 3n and it says "and" which in math terms means + so 3n + 26.... It then says is at least 27 which means that it is less than 27 but it can be equal to it so the sign would be \[\le \] So what is the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3n + 26 \[3n +26\ge27\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i figured it out the sum of 3n+26 is greater than or equal to 27 "its at least 27" means the least is 27 so if that is the least than it can be equal to 27 or more than than you were both wrong but i appreciate the help cuz it made me figure out the answer on my own which helps me grow in knowledge so thank you and ill give u both medals for ur help :)
