Ok im writing a letter of complaint on Rappers vs. Country singers. Any tips fan and medal
What are you complaining about, exactly, Rappers or Country singers?
Well im going to write about how rappers get judged from country singers. Like how rappers sing about dirty stuff and they get judged because they sing it but no one know how they are deep down
@Xbeast
okay so you're going for the common misinterpretation most people have towards rap, which is, "Everyone says the same thing in every song, there's no difference in rap." I guess you could try starting out with the Country side of the argument and then kinda clarify the difference between the rap that is too mainstream, like Lil' Wayne and the rest, and other rap artists that have more meaningful lyrics, instead of rapping about money, women, fame, and drugs. Later in the letter, you could defend the rap point of view with the same complaint, "Most country songs sound the same or are very similar in lyrics or meaning," and kinda go from there.
Let me know how it goes, I'd love to read it when you finish it.
Ok thx but im trying to point out that rappers get judged for everything but no one knows how they feel on because alot of rappers have big hearts
Right, Right. Well you might be able to incorporate the feelings of being judged, misjudged, etc. to the underground and the meaningful rappers. Then again, this is your writing, so I can only give ideas. Good luck.
Thanks and i will show u wen I get done
Cool.
Personally I think you should base it on all genres instead of just country singers. I believe rappers get a lot of judgement from all genres of musicians and it would give you a more open subject to write about. It is totally up to you though don't feel pushed just my personal opinion.
I mean, not only is it a big deal in country music to have hidden meanings, but in pop too. Ed Sheeran and Jason Derulo sing about dirty things, just not as obviously as rappers may. I, personally, have been raised on country music and I can tell you a lot of the hidden meanings have to do with sex. Like mentioned above, don't limit it to just country. Pop is included as well. I'm sure you can find additional genres that are just the same.
If you wanted, you could also include the cross-over now to country and rap. Take Sam Hunt (my personal absolute love) for example. He refuses to be defined as specifically country. He's' rap, pop, hip-hop, and country. He's everything rolled into one angelic person (sorry, that's a bit of my fangirl side in there). There's traditionally country singers that are also crossing over. Luke Bryan, for another example. His latest singles have been easily confused with rap and pop, ESPECIALLY "Kick The Dust Up" Jason Aldean, as well, is a traditional country artist who can easily crossover. Then there are artists like Steven Tyler who have been rock their entire lives and are now crossing into country music. Sorry if that's unrelated information - I'm just a big country music person.
country music is life for me and my friends but it is more like rep every day and they dont need to judge anyone
