OpenStudy (sophiaholder):

So, who wants to help? Which of the following transitions maps a to a' in the figure below?

OpenStudy (sophiaholder):

Here is the figure

OpenStudy (sophiaholder):

And here are the answer choices

OpenStudy (sophiaholder):

Also it would be nice if someone cared to explain how to do it. Too many people just give out the answer which wouldn't help.

OpenStudy (mynameisnemo):

I'll help give me a sec to look

OpenStudy (rizags):

Do you know which two answer choices can be immediately eliminated because they're ridiculous?

OpenStudy (mynameisnemo):

Okay, I havent done this so I'm no help, sorry :(

OpenStudy (rizags):

Okay, well straight off the bat, the last two make no sense because they state that O, the origin is being rotated, which is rather ridiculous, because for the most part, the origin is always (0,0), and in this case, we're rotating point A.

OpenStudy (rizags):

To choose from the next two, you would have to know that the general form of angular rotation in graphs is to the counterclockwise direction. Do you know the answer now?
