OpenStudy (amyhashimoto77):

Solve the given equation. sin theta = -0.45 How would I show my work for this? And the answer in the back is.. -0.47 + 2k(pi), 3.61 + 2k(pi) So far I have.. sin^(-1)(sin theta) = sin^(-1)(-0.45) theta = sin^(-1)(-0.45)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use tables or a high end, hand held math calculator. If sin theta = -0.45, then theta = ArcSin[-0.45]=-0.466765 radians or -26.7437 degrees.
