Devon wants to write an equation for a line that passes through 2 of the data points he has collected. The points are (8, 5) and (–12, –9). how would you make the equation in standard form?

I do know that to get part of your equation you would need to use the formula y2-y1 over x2-x1. So -9-5 over -12-8. Which would then equal -14 over -20. I'm not good at this, I remember learning about this but it's been a while. Sorry I can't really help you.
