Please help I will fan and medal! On a coordinate grid, both point (3, 5) and point (−2, −4) are reflected across the y-axis. What are the coordinates of the reflected points? (−3, 5) and (2, 4) (−3, 5) and (2, −4) (−3, −5) and (−2, −4) (3, −5) and (−2, −4)

OpenStudy (tal_tal):

@Jack1

OpenStudy (larrylovestein):

B

OpenStudy (jack1):

if it's reflected across th y axis, the x values will become negative, and the y values will remain the same

OpenStudy (jack1):

(x,y) so (3, 5) and point (−2, −4) will become so (-3, 5) and point (2, −4)

OpenStudy (tal_tal):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (jack1):

no worries ;)

OpenStudy (tal_tal):

Can you help me with another

OpenStudy (jack1):

sure, shoot

OpenStudy (tal_tal):

The coordinates of a point on a coordinate grid are (−2, 6). The point is reflected across the x-axis to obtain a new point. The coordinates of the reflected point are (2, 6) (−2, 6) (−2, −6) (2, −6)

OpenStudy (jack1):

if it's reflected across the x axis, the y values will become negative, and the x values will remain the same, yeah? so (x,y) will become (x,-y) so your point (-2,6) becomes (-2,-6)

OpenStudy (jack1):

that all make sense?

OpenStudy (tal_tal):

Yes thank you!

OpenStudy (jack1):

sweet ;)
