Help Please? Will give medal! Is the following conditional true or false? If it is true, explain why. If it is false, give a counterexample. If it is snowing in Dallas, Texas, then it is snowing in the United States.

Okay so the thing is that this is in geometry and I think it is poorly written. I can't tell if they mean "yes it is snowing in the united states because Dallas is in the United States" or if they mean "no it is not snowing in the united states because Dallas is just a part of the united states?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False because just because it is snowing in texas does not mean it is snowing in the united states but it does mean it is snowing in the united states where is my medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it is actually true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would pu true and see what u get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i put On a technicality the statement is True; it is snowing in the United States because Dallas is in the United States. However, I’m not sure if you met the question in the way it is stated. It kind of seems like you mean it is snowing in the whole united states, then no this statement would be false, Dallas Texas is only a small part of the United States; one that normally doesn’t get snow at that.
