I think its c

OpenStudy (gabebae):

A comma should be placed before the word but only if but is at the beginning of an independent clause. I would go for a walk, but for the rain. In this sentence, but is being used to mean except. Because but isn't starting an independent clause, the comma isn't required.

i gttg see yall later

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you cant put a comma after BUT

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

I wouldn't go with D (this is my opinion). Reason being, it could be written "The sky looks bright today, but it is supposed to rain this afternoon." It makes more sense that way. I would go with C.

You would put a comma after the word "but"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, its before only

OpenStudy (gabebae):

D would be "The sky looks bright today ,but it is supposed to rain this afternoon. "

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

I'm still sticking with C.

OpenStudy (gabebae):

Go with C
