help please! will fan and medal! The asymptote of the function f(x)=3^x+1 -2 is ?. It's y-intercept is ?.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(0) will give the y-intercept. y-int = \(f(0) = 3^{0+1}-2\) \(g(x)=3^x\) has a horizontal asympote at \(y=0\). The 1 in the exponent shifts g(x) left. The 2 shifts it down, so the asymptote is now at y = 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you, but what is the y intercept the answers are (0,-2) (0,-3) (0,1) and (0,-1)

@peachpi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plug in 0 for x to get the y-intercept. I wrote it above

oh okay thank you, im sorry im just terrible when it comes to math @peachpi
