@Maddy1251

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

Okay. We have x/3 = -6 (I am putting equal cause this is the easiest way to do work.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thats fine!

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

All we are going to do is times both sides by 3, because of x/3, and we want 'x' to be by itself. So we will have x=-18. Your answer is A, however note choice B. If we were to multiply or divide by a negative number, law on inequalities states that the ineqaulity sign would then be flipped the opposite direction. If 3 was negative, it would be B. However, it is not, So A is your choice.

Perfect!! thank you i have 2 more

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

Okay. (-:

Solve. 3 + d < 3 – d Question 4 options: d < 6 d < –6 d > –3 d < 0

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

3 + d < 3 – d Okay, well we want to have 'd' alone.

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

To make my solving easier, I will place a 1 in front of the 'd'.

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

3 + 1d < 3 –1d Now set to equal to. But keep track of anything we may do to alter the sign.

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

It should be C.

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

It cann't be D because having -3 would cause disruption in the answers making the inequality wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve. 4(x + 1) ≤ 4x + 3 Question 5 options: no solution all real numbers x ≤ 1 x ≤ 7

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

No problem. (:

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

I don't find a solution to that inequality.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So a

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

That's what I would say.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you i passed again!

OpenStudy (maddy1251):
