What would most likely happen if an error occurred when RNA was receiving coding information?
A.Proteins would be formed incorrectly. B.DNA would form incorrectly. C.RNA could not form a correct blueprint. D.The incorrect amino acid would form.
A. Because the coding for RNA involves proteins because of the whole ribosomes deal.
A
Horrible question. RNA does not "receive" coding information. DNA is separated and a portion of the genome is transcribed into mRNA. RNA does not "receive" anything. RNA is then used for many things, but in general we would refer to it being the blueprints for a protein, which will be made by the ribosomes. Further, the question's answers are not well thought out because the answer A is dependent on C. That is, for a protein to not be formed correctly, RNA has to have the incorrect "blueprint" that the ribosomes would be using to make a protein. @cam
The fact that the answers in A and D require C should give a very good indication of the answer.
