D is the answer you are looking for
I don't know how to explain it @tkhunny but I think that it is A because says "the difference of 3 times a number" so i think that means 3 goes first then it says "n and 2" so i think that "n and 2" mean 2n. so thank is how i got the answer 3 - 2n and that is the one every one i my family says it is but i think that it is D
after 2n so thank i meant that
First, you just proved that you DO know how to explain it. Second, not quite. "n and 2" does not mean multiplication by itself. "The product of n and 2" would mean 2n, but not just "n and 2 all alone." Third, Look for connections made by operations. They are like parentheses in a symbolic expression. "3 TIMES a number n" This means 3n. Try again.
is it D
that is the one that i have thought that it was the hole time but mom dad and brother now best
Fine. Do the next one and include your EXCELLENT explanation skills. :-)
haha
ok i thought that it could be D because "the difference of 3 times a number n" so which i thought could mean 3n then it says "and 2" so i thought that it meant - 2 that is why i thought it was D 3n - 2
Sorry. Thought I already agreed to your well-explained correct answer.
