Which translation rule describes the translation that is 6 units to the left and 5 units down? (x, y) -> (x + 6, y – 5) (x, y) -> (x – 6, y – 5) (x, y) -> (x + 6, y + 5) (x, y) -> (x – 6, y + 5) My choice is B x-6 y-5 Am I right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, you are correct :)

Thank you! c:

Could I ask you about one more question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

always remember that quadrant 1 is +,+,Q2 is -,+,Q3 is -,-, and Q4 is +,-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ofcourse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I need to right that down next time.. & next question! Which rule describes the transformation that is a reflection across the x axis? A. (x, y) → (x,-y) B. (x, y) → (–x, y) C. (x, y) → (-x, –y) D. (x, y) → (y, x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure how to solve this actually /:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i say its A because its going from +,+, so that's quadrant one. if we reflect it across the x axis we would be in quadrant 4 which is +,-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh I see

do you understand?|dw:1446428065311:dw|
