Which is the equation of the given line in slope-intercept form? https://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1611000_1611500/1611093/1/7320bf52ac316fa1f6ca230f254395c04398cf02/114258.jpg

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

@Mehek14

imqwerty (imqwerty):

slope intercept form of a line is this- y=mx+c where c is the y intercept of line and m is the slope u jst have to find out c and m and put them in this equation

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

So would it be y=-1/3x+2

imqwerty (imqwerty):

:) ur close i think u shuld recheck the value of m that u got (:

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Um y=-3x+2?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yes :D

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

YAY. Could you help me with two more?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yes :)

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

@imqwerty

imqwerty (imqwerty):

point slope form is like this- \[\frac{ y-y_{1}}{ y_{2}-y_{1} }=\frac{ x-x_{1} }{ x_{2}-x_{1} }\] where (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are given points :)

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Maybe A and D?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

A is correct but D is wrong :)

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

CCCCCC

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Is C the other one?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

no :)

imqwerty (imqwerty):

do u knw y there are 2 solutions for this question?

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Because my teachers hate me?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

lol maybe :)

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

So from process of elimination, the answers are A and B and yeah

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yeah :P well in the equation u have (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) and u have-(-7,5)and (-4,1) well once u take (x1,y2) as (-7,5) and (x2,y2) as (-4,1) but u can also do this- take (x1,y1) as (-4,1) and (x2,y2) as (-7,5) and then put them in eq to get 2 eqs e.e

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Yeah that makes sense (: Thank you

imqwerty (imqwerty):

np B)

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

I have one more, could you help?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

no sorry ur free subscription is over now u have to pay $50 per question.

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Okay (:

imqwerty (imqwerty):

lol jk xD

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

I figured haha

imqwerty (imqwerty):

ok whas the ques :)

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Do you want me to post it in a new tab so you can get more medal powers?

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Do you want me to post it in a new tab so you can get more medal powers?

OpenStudy (gabebae):

It would be easier if you converted A,B, and D into slope intercept form

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Is A B D the answer

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

Because this is my last question and I need a good grade

OpenStudy (gabebae):

I didn't say those were the answers

OpenStudy (ellaella02):

oh

imqwerty (imqwerty):

sry i had to leave ):
