PHYSICS - can someone check? Suppose you wanted to break a meter stick over your knee. The cross section of a meter stick is rectangular. Will it be easier to break with a.) the long side against your knee b.) the short side against your knee? I said it'd be easier to break the stick with the short side on your knee, since the length from the point on knee to where force is applied is greater in B than A. Is this correct?

But since we're learning torque, I assumed it had to do with the equation for torque

And since the greater the "r" the greater the torque, so I said it'd be easier for B
