How could you use Descartes' rule to predict the number of complex roots to a polynomial as well as find the number of possible positive and negative real roots to a polynomial?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need someone to explain this to me, because I don't understand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would first use the rational root theorem to find the possible real roots, then you take out every real root that works, what is must be the imaginary roots.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is left* must be the imaginary roots.

If you me a problem I might be able to explain it better

Okay, thank you @joseknight
