OpenStudy (hellokitty17):

One way parents and guardians can influence technology use is to establish set boundaries and model proper use for their children. Which of these outcomes would you expect if this guideline was followed? Adults and children would look at things online together. Adults would spend more time reading blogs on their phones. Children would watch videos online late into the evening. Adults and children would communicate less frequently by text message.

Hey @HelloKitty7 Wow. What class are you taking? These are very interesting questions... -_- Anyway, let's take a look at the question: One way parents and guardians can influence technology use is to establish set boundaries and model proper use for their children. Which of these outcomes would you expect if this guideline was followed? Adults and children would look at things online together. Adults would spend more time reading blogs on their phones. Children would watch videos online late into the evening. Adults and children would communicate less frequently by text message. For the first part, I would say a result of extreme parental controls over a child's computer usage could result in adults and children would look at things online together. Next, would adults would spend more time reading blogs on their phones? Well, if it's just random people's blogs, this is not a model for the kids to follow. Also, children SHOULD NOT be allowed to watch videos online late into the evening. Recent studies have shown the flashing pixels on the screens of computers can lead to sleep deprivation and insomnia. Finally, adults and children would communicate less frequently by text message. Well, obviously, because face-to-face interaction has previously always been valued over online communication by parents or guardians. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that the parents would use these services any less... Anyway, if this helped you with your problem, please leave a medal! -mal :P

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm do you no what gum wold be in

OpenStudy (hellokitty17):

this is a multiple choice question. and I am taking H.O.P.E

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Ok, well what answer would you go with based on my analysis?

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

I'm trying to help you figure it out for yourself...

OpenStudy (hellokitty17):

I would say C based on what you said. is that right? if not tell me

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Well, C would definitely NOT be it. As I said, children should not stay up late on their computer...

OpenStudy (hellokitty17):

Then its B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A and B i am i wit

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Both B and C can easily be ruled out, as these are definitely not things kids would be doing under strict parental controls.

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Read my analysis, parents should not be spending all day on their phones, it's not a good role model for the kids.

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

And they definitely should not be up late watching tv.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D and A am i whit im sorry tring to help

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

So it's either A or D. A is kids and parents using the internet together, D is kids AND PARENTS texting less. Which is a result of parental controls?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so i need help on gum can you help me HelloKitty17

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Grammar, Usage, and Mechanics?

OpenStudy (hellokitty17):

I am leaning towards D

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

kids AND PARENTS texting less after controls set BY THE PARENTS

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Not shouting it, there's just no bold :P

OpenStudy (hellokitty17):

is the final answer then?!

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Well, obviously, because face-to-face interaction has previously always been valued over online communication by parents or guardians. HOWEVER, this doesn't necessarily mean that the parents would use these services any less...

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

READ.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (hellokitty17):

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

That's correct.

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Adults and children would look at things online together.

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

As a result of internet parental controls.

OpenStudy (hellokitty17):
