f(x) = ln(x) ----> f ' (x) = 1/x f(x) = log(2,x) ----> f ' (x) = 1/[x*ln(2)] f(x) = x^2 ----> f ' (x) = 2x f(x) = 2^x -----> f ' (x) = ln(2)*2^x

after you get those derivatives, plug in a large number (like x = 1000) into each derivative function and compare the outputs
