Write two more shopping scenarios where multi-step equations can be written and solved. Explain all your work. Write a shopping list to show what you will purchase, including the amounts and costs for each item and the total cost.
@Haseeb96
@kittymeow101 Do you have given scenarios ?
cool...
hmm, i will give a try... divide $200 by 11.50=17.39 so you can make 17 shirts. Since $1=100 subtract 39 from 100 so you have $0.61 left over. @kittymeow101
no thats just a problem that was given and i had solved, i need help thinking of 2 new scenarios to write about
alright.. do u have the other given scenarios to solve ?
i just need help making up 2 scenarios and help with solving them
fine.. just a min, let me have a look at google..
yes I've done those
lol @Directrix some more please..
Okay. I didn't mean to use the same ones but thought those might help dream up a new one.
It's fine i just cant seem to think of any
i found this link helpful for you https://www.ck12.org/algebra/Solving-Real-World-Problems-Using-Multi-Step-Equations/ @kittymeow101
Fifty people are to attend a Neighborhood Watch meeting to discuss posting Neighborhood Watch sign posts to scare off potential burglars. They want to purchase 5 metal signs to post in the neighborhood. Each sign costs $80 and an additional $20 per sign for installation. Each person attending the meeting will receive a bottle of water. The water comes in cases of 35 bottles per case at a cost of $25 per case.
1. How much money is needed to purchase the metal signs? 2. What is the total installation cost? 3. How many cases of water will have to be purchased for the 50 attendees and what will be the total cost of the water? 4. What is the total cost of the signs, installation, and water for this meeting?
Is that ^^^ a story scenario problem that might be used?
yes that could work :)
