OpenStudy (mouth4war):

can anyone help me w labeling stages of mitosis? i cant figure out what stages each one is.

OpenStudy (mouth4war):

OpenStudy (dqswag):

answers? cause it looks as if there spliting into two

OpenStudy (gabebae):

Any answer choices?

OpenStudy (dqswag):

Cause to me its reproduction

OpenStudy (mouth4war):

nope ! i have to label them myself.

OpenStudy (dqswag):

oh ok

OpenStudy (dqswag):

1. Single celled

OpenStudy (gabebae):

Interphase, Prophase, Prometaphase, Metaphase, and Anaphase

OpenStudy (mouth4war):

i think what theyre asking is the stages, like anaphase, prophase, etc. but its hard to tell which stage they're in in the pic

OpenStudy (mouth4war):

thank you @GabeBae much appreciated

OpenStudy (gabebae):

Do you still need help?

OpenStudy (mouth4war):

well, were you just naming off each phase or were you labeling which stage the cells are in in the picture?

OpenStudy (gabebae):

You have to label which stages are in the pictures

OpenStudy (mouth4war):

ok, i think #1 is interphase, #2 is prophase, #3 is anaphase, #4 is metaphase, and #5 is telophase. am i correct at all? it's so hard to tell w the picture. :-(

OpenStudy (dqswag):

Mitosis consists of four basic phases: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Some textbooks list five, breaking prophase into an early phase (simply called prophase) and a late phase (called prometaphase). These phases occur in strict sequential order, and cytokinesis - the process of dividing the cell contents to make two new cells - starts in anaphase or telophase

OpenStudy (gabebae):

hold on did you get the answer? I had some internet problems just now

OpenStudy (mouth4war):

no, i was asking if my supposed answers were correct or not

OpenStudy (gabebae):

let me check

OpenStudy (gabebae):

1. Interphase 2. Prophase 3. Anaphase 4. Metaphase 5. Telophase I'm pretty sure these are correct..

OpenStudy (mouth4war):

YAY! I hope they are! thanks so much

OpenStudy (gabebae):

By the way, look at the order of mitosis those aren't in order I was just looking at the numbers and matching them up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 is interphase.
