Which kind of phrase are the underlined words in the sentence? I asked for a medium cup of orange juice. A. adverb phrase B. adjective phrase C. appositive phrase

OpenStudy (theloshua):

what words are underlined?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh lol "of orange juice" is underlined

OpenStudy (theloshua):

C. It is an appositive phrase because it specifically modifies whats in the glass

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An appositive phrase is a noun renaming another noun right next to each other for example "My sister, a brat is wearing my sweater." brat is the appositive. So I do not see how that could be an appositive phrase ..?

OpenStudy (theloshua):

Orange juice is a noun phrase that is directly next to the noun haha. It just doesnt have a comma

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand lol its not the comma that I was talking about, but I will just go along. (Im paranoid about my "writing" or "english" )

OpenStudy (theloshua):

yeah, as said, an appositive phrase is when you use a noun directly next to another noun to describe it ;)
