HELP PLEASE!!!! Which of the ordered pairs in the form (x, y) is a solution of this equation? 3x-y/4=11 (3, –8), (4, 4)

OpenStudy (a1234):

Plug the numbers into the equation accordingly and see which ones works.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

(3,-8) means x = 3 and y = -8 so replace each 'x' with 3 and each 'y' with -8. Then simplify to see if the left side is 11. If it is, then you have a true equation which means that it is indeed a solution. If not, then it's not a solution

OpenStudy (lochana):

@raventayler13 did you find the solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not yet

OpenStudy (lochana):

Can you identify x and y terms in (3, –8), (4, 4)?

OpenStudy (lochana):

@raventayler13 Have you done these stuff at school?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it's actually homework but i have the answer now

OpenStudy (lochana):

okay. If you have any problems regarding to this. you can ask me. bye
