(WILL GIVE MEDAL) Where should a pronoun be placed? 1.) anywhere in the sentence 2.) somewhere before the antecedent 3.) as close to the antecedent as possible 4.) anywhere after the antecedent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer can't be 1 because a pronoun can not be placed anywhere in a sentence. We know that pronoun takes the place o noun such as me, my, I, you, we and etc. A pronoun replaces an antecedent. Here's an example of a pronoun and antecedent in a sentence: This class is tough, and it goes by quickly. The antecedent is "class" and "it" is the pronoun coming AFTER the antecedent replacing it in the sentence so you don't have to repeat it twice.

So , basically what can you conclude from my explanation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm, the answer is 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, the pronoun, comes after the antecedent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or it is number 4, English is hard for me thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem. Good try though, but, the pronoun doesn't have to be as close to the antecedent as possible, it can be in another sentence like: Kyle was hungry. He ate a sandwich. Kyle is the antecedent and He is he pronoun. Understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup thank you
