Species Profile: Sea Snail (Gastropoda)

Hi guys :D

Throughout Math, I've seen plenty of tutorials, so I decided to start putting my own twist on these... introducing Species Profiles! Species Profiles will last 24 hours, then I'll take them down. These are for archival purposes, so that when someone searches "sea snail" on Google, maybe my Species Profile will come up and maybe that person will become an OS user ^_^

Without further ado, I give you my first species profile for sea snails (gastropoda)

Sea snails are marine gastropods with shells. Marine gastropods without shells are commonly referred to as sea slugs, sea hares, or sea cucumbers. However, in tide pools it’s more likely you’ll find sea snails, as their hard shell can handle the battering waves better than a marine gastropod without one. Most sea snails have gills, but some actually have lungs. These are called intertidal sea snails. Their diet is omnivorous consists mostly of algae and other small creatures.

Anyway, that was a short overview of the cute little creatures you may find lurking in a tide pool... :) Keep a lookout for more species profiles.
