Why is mitosis cell division is so faster in the wounded area? I mean it's really good but what makes the cell to divide faster?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because your body controls the rate of mitosis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When ever there is a wound, your body signals mitosis to happen in that area faster, that is how your wound heals. When you don't need to heal any wounds, mitosis slows but doesn't stop, and that is growing.

When your body can't control cell division properly, then it turns into cancer, or uncontrolled cell division
