If a line with a slope of 4 crosses the y-axis at (0, 1), what is the equation of the line? y − 4x = 1 y + 4x = 1 x − 4y = 1 x + 4y = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slope-intercept form of your line is y=ax+b a is the slope, which is given. so y=4x+b b is the y-intercept which is also given. the point (0, 1) means that line intrecpts y-axis when y=1 so the function is y=4x+1 now subtract 4x from both sides and get you answer

it will be y - 4x=1
