OpenStudy (thread252):

wow wtf is this?????????????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is a term missing, I think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In the last part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its partial differentiation haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i may have it just a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what part is it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know the last part but what part of that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you a senior in high school or a freshman in college

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait a sec then i will write to you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"the last term of the left hand side of the 3rd line (the 2nd line that includes partial derivatives), which is the term just before the equals sign, is -2x^3z^3dz/dx That term is just dropped, vanishing never to be seen again on the 4th line and thereafter." Thats what I got told by my teacher - so how do I include that term in the equation so it becomes correct?

OpenStudy (baru):

in the third line of ur solution i see 4 terms with dz/dx in the fourth line there are three...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry tried my best but too difficult for me srry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey baru. Yes, but that was not what my teacher pointed out. He pointed out that missing term :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats ok chris... anyone?

OpenStudy (baru):

yes, i see it, you have missed that term. you have to redo the fourth step of the solution

OpenStudy (baru):

you have just skipped a term

OpenStudy (baru):

@Lillery

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yes I'm still here, I'm trying to redo it now. Would you stay until i'm done and see whether its correct?

OpenStudy (baru):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I should just put it like this? Should I reduce it some more?

OpenStudy (baru):

that is one scary looking thing xD... it looks right to me, i dont think you can simplify it further

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha thx!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

misty if you know something, you're welcome to contribute
