jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Hint: Let \(\Large \color{red}{x = \sqrt{7}}\) and \(\Large \color{blue}{y = \sqrt{6}}\) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So \[\Large 5\color{red}{\sqrt{7}}+12\color{blue}{\sqrt{6}}-10\color{red}{\sqrt{7}}-5\color{blue}{\sqrt{6}}\] turns into \[\Large 5\color{red}{x}+12\color{blue}{y}-10\color{red}{x}-5\color{blue}{y}\]

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Once you get to `5x+12y-10x-5y` you would combine like terms. After that, replace x and y with what they were defined to be.

@jim_thompson5910 ah okay.. would it be B?
