OpenStudy (aaalive):

I have a science question, but I don't think anyone is online in that subject, so can someone help me with some life science that has to do with cells? I'll medal and fan

OpenStudy (aaalive):

What is the purpose of the plasma membrane? A. makes food for the cell B. reproduces cells C. keeps the cell small D. encloses specific structures

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think D

OpenStudy (aaalive):

okay, let me see, can you help with a few more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (aaalive):

thanks! Suppose you use a microscope to look at a cell from the leaf of a tree. What structure will you see that would not be found in a cell from your fingernail? A. mitochondria B. cilia C. cell wall D. ribosomes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, lets look at the question, one is a plant cell, and the cell in your fingernail is the animal cell, second, when you look with a microscope, you will see the outside of the cell only, so the only answer can be whats outside the membrane. Plant cells have an outer membrane, other than the plasma membrane called the [cell wall,(THIS IS THE ANSWER <------)] B, cilia, is something found in both cells, same goes to mitochondria and ribosomes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so C

OpenStudy (aaalive):

okay, you are being of very good help, I think I only have 3 more questions, do you think you can help me with that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (aaalive):

yayayaya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

;D

OpenStudy (aaalive):

Which structures are found in eukaryotic cells? Choose all answers that are correct. A. chloroplast B. membrane-bound organelles C. mitochondria D. nucleus E. pili

OpenStudy (anonymous):

eukaryotic cells have: a membrane-bound nucleus. numerous membrane-bound organelles (including the endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, chloroplasts, and mitochondria) several rod-shaped chromosomes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO here are all the things the cell has in it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B, A, and C

OpenStudy (aaalive):

thank you so much for what you have done so far, There are only two more left!! Which structures are found in prokaryotic cells? Choose all answers that are correct. A. chloroplast B. nucleoid C. Nucleus D. pili E. plasmid

OpenStudy (aaalive):

i think one of them is "c" right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sadly no so we can x that one out

OpenStudy (aaalive):

oh, okay..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D,E, and B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good try though

OpenStudy (aaalive):

LAST ONE!! (and then you are free!)

OpenStudy (aaalive):

Which structures are found in both prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells? Choose all answers that are correct. A. cytoplasm B. flagella C. pili D. plasma membrane E. ribosomes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok this one is tough

OpenStudy (aaalive):

are you in k12 too?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (aaalive):

hah thats cool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO i know E is one

OpenStudy (aaalive):

okay,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and D

OpenStudy (aaalive):

is that it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I THINK SO :/

OpenStudy (aaalive):

okay...lets see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean you can check on a photo on google

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to check

OpenStudy (aaalive):

hayyyyy! I passed with an 88%!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really awsome!!!

OpenStudy (aaalive):

ill be back in a bit, I gtg right now, but thanks for the help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
