OpenStudy (ellecullen):

Homework help please: 3lnx + 5lny -6lnz I did: ln x^3 +ln y^5 - ln z^6 What do I do next?

OpenStudy (alekos):

well you can use the log law of addition and subtraction lna + lnb = ln(ab) lna - lnb = ln(a/b) but it doesn't really simplify the problem in any way

OpenStudy (ellecullen):

Did what I did sound or look right?

OpenStudy (alekos):

yes. you've used the log law of exponents which is fine

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

So they gave you that expression, did they say anything specific as to what they wanted you to do it? or just simplifying?

OpenStudy (ellecullen):

They just said to find a way to condense it

OpenStudy (alekos):

OK then use what I gave you

OpenStudy (ellecullen):

Thank you so much :)

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

final answer has one log term
