If G(x) = 3x + 1, then G -1(1) is 4 1/3 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so all you have to do is plug 1 in for x... So you have to solve this: \[3(1) + 1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you do that.. the answer is 4!

Hope this helped! Have a great day! Also a medal would be much appreciated! Just click best response next to my answer. Thank You! @elkirko16

thank you

OpenStudy (bibby):

first, find \(g^{-1}(x)\) start by replacing g(x) with y so we have y=3x + 1 now we replace x and y and solve for out new y' (a.k.a. g'(x)) x=3y+1

OpenStudy (bibby):

solve that for y and then plug in 1

in case you haven't realized, tom's answer isn't right
