The elastic rebound theory suggests which of the following Some earthquakes are produced by the rapid release of energy stored in rock that has been subjected to minimal forces Some earthquakes are produced by the slow release of energy stored in rock that has been subjected to great forces Some earthquakes are produced by the slow release of energy stored in rock that has been subjected to minimal forces Some earthquakes are produced by the rapid release of energy stored in rock that has been subjected to great forces i will give a medal.

I think its C

OpenStudy (kat_s123):

The answer is B. It happens quite literally like an elastic. When you pull an elastic it will hold against your strength until it snaps from the force. In the case of earthquakes the faults are subjected to a great force for so long until it cannot hold against is and it "snaps" resulting in an earthquake.
