Its 0.01..

You need to make two equations with two variables. So insert your values for A, and t: \[5.74=A_0*e^{k*0}\] \[9=A_0*e^{k*40}\] No you want to solve A0 and k.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

t is the time in years, and A is the population.

OpenStudy (phi):

k=0.0112441342 and A is 5.74 and t is the years since 2000 you have P= 5.74*exp(0.0112441342*t) ( exp is a way to write e^power) for part b., you have to "solve for t" using the equation 5.74*exp(0.0112441342*t) = 16 once you get t. add 2000 to it to get the actual year

OpenStudy (destinyyyy):

Both of you are incorrect. And all I was asking for was if I use the full number for k or just the first two after the decimal. k= 0.01 and t= 91. Part A is A=5.74e^0.01t and part B is 2091.
