Find the slope of a line parallel to 3x – y = 1. A. -1/3 B. –3 C. 3 D. 1/3

OpenStudy (babynini):

can you put this in normal form? (y=mx+b)

OpenStudy (babynini):

That way you can more clearly see your slope :) and then a parallel line has the same slope!

OpenStudy (mrnood):

the easiest way to do this is to write the equation in 'slope-intersept' form I need to look like y=mx+b when you have done this the 'slope' is the value equivalent to m

OpenStudy (babynini):

haha we're all saying the same thing xD does this make sense @kzd183 ? :)
