OpenStudy (ravenxcx):

Functions, equations and graphs? Which set of ordered pairs in the form (x,y) does NOT represent a function of x? {(0,2), (1,-1), (2,3), (3,-2)} {(0,-2), (1,-1), (2,3), (3,-2)} {(0,2), (-1,-1), (2,-3), (3,2)} {(0,2), (1,2), (1,-2), (3,2)}

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

if you have one x value that "goes" with more than one y value then it is not a function.

OpenStudy (ravenxcx):

So which one would that be? I'm still confused...

OpenStudy (ravenxcx):

@zzr0ck3r

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

As zz mentioned a function can not have repeating y's for x's, so you can't have something like { (0,2), (1,-1), (2,2), (0,3) } notice how there's 0 in x twice and with two separate y's you can't have that. Note: Coordinates are written as (x,y)
