OpenStudy (karolynxx):

Help please ! Which equation represents a line that passes through (2, –1/2) and has a slope of 3? a. y – 2 = 3(x + 1/2) b. y – 3 = 2(x + 1/2) c. y + 1/2= 3(x – 2) d. y + 1/2= 2(x – 3)

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Hey there! So what you're going to want to look at first is your slope! Your slope will always be in front of the "x" on the right side. So as you can see, B and D are now eliminated. In my opinion I would go with A.

Simplify (2x3)4. help me

OpenStudy (karolynxx):

i tried to graph it and i got C running through 2,1/2 on the graph on a line

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Hm. I must've had a flaw in my work. Let me check again.

OpenStudy (karolynxx):

but is that the right anwser sense that equation ran through my points on the line?

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

I do believe you are correct! Sorry that I messed up. I entered some numbers wrong.
