OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pooja195

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

wait so that is a complex fraction right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i think so

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

and 6x5 is 6 times 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what what i thought you multiply 1x5 6x7

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

i think it is 7/30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont get it

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

because 1/6(5) is 1/30 then 1/30 (1/7) is 7/30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhhh can you explain that a bit?

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

sorry 1/30 would be divided by 1/7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah ok i got a few more can ya help btw this is 7th grade work

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Express your answer in lowest terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3/8 X 2/7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5/30 is when its at first how do i simplifly that??

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

it would simplify down to 1/6 because 5 is a factor of 30. 5(6)=30, so divide both numerator and denominator by 5 and you get 1/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what what why is there a one left? if 5 divided by 5 cancels eachother out

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

put 5/5 into your calculator, it equals 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm ok heres the next @AndrewIsHere

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AndrewIsHere

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-\frac{ 5 }{ 12 }\times \frac{ 8 }{ 13 }=\frac{ -5\times8 }{ 12\times13 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@studydood66 what is 5 times 8?
