OpenStudy (minecraftqueen):

What is the slope of the line whose equation is 12 = 4x – 6y?

OpenStudy (zale101):

You can identify the slope after you solve for y.

OpenStudy (zale101):

Because solving for y will turn the equation into the slope form \(\Large y=mx+b\) where m is the slope.

OpenStudy (emma.davenport):

well first you have to get y by itself. Sooo subtract 4x from both sides and you wind up with -6y=-4x+12 to get the slope you divide both sides by -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't the slope 4?

OpenStudy (minecraftqueen):

i got -2/3x+2

OpenStudy (minecraftqueen):

it hase to be a fraction

OpenStudy (minecraftqueen):

@Emma.Davenport

OpenStudy (minecraftqueen):

-_- im lost

OpenStudy (emma.davenport):

no the slope is 2/3 because when you divide two negatives it becomes a positive

OpenStudy (minecraftqueen):

its kinda to late..... :T thx ... i guess
